Lara Early this week I saw Niko (the cat) outside) and I spent 10 minutes chasing him down, luring him with treats and finally capturing and carrying him back inside the house (murmuring about how the heck he got out in the first place. Then… went downstairs to make sure the other cat was still in here… shaking the treat bag. Here comes Niko out from under the bed… so what the heck cat did I bring into the house? Oops. Doppleganger.
When I left Columbus 6 years ago, part of the attraction of leaving was to get away from memories/places/etc associated with an ex of mine. Ya know… I was back in town less than 2 weeks before I saw him driving along on the freeway. Weird.
Finished knitting the blanket tonight. Pictures soon (after blocking).
I love my little bedroom/space in the basement of the Simmons’. We got some doors and I got a little lock thing so there’s a little bit of privacy, but there’s just something reassuming to me to have all my things consolidated into a small space - it’s crowded, but cozy. I’ll post some pictures soon of that, too.
Church tomorrow. It’ll be good to be back.
