So, I’m working away on this pinwheel blanket using some Noro Transitions yarn that has been whining at me for almost 2 years since I bought it. I’ve finally knit through all the Noro (after breaking the longest cable I had, and having to buy 3 32 inch needle to knit the last 3 rows).

Now I’m working on a plan for an edging, and I picked out the “Scalloped Leaves” pattern from Knitting on the Edge and some other yarn that’s been in my stash since Stitches 2007. Anyway, I was working on a swatch to see the ratio of rows to stitches to see if I a) have enough yarn and b) have enough patience to do this edging, but I got stuck on just the 2nd row of the pattern because of errata.

In any case, I’ve worked out the correct pattern (as well as a few changes I made to make the pattern cleaner in the way I like), and hopefully I’m not breaking any copyright laws by posting it here. Go get the book! It’s really great and totally inspiring for all sorts of patterns. Changes are in BOLD.

Row 5 : k4, p2, k3, yo, k1, yo, k4
Row 6 : p10, inc 1, k6
Row 7 : k4, p3, k4, yo, k1, yo, k5
Row 8 : p12, inc 1, k7 - 20 stitches
Row 9 : k4, p4, ssk, k7, k2tog, k1
Row 10 : p10, inc 1, k8
Row 11 : k4, p5, ssk, k5, k2tog, k1
Row 12 : p8, inc 1, k3, p1, k5
Row 13 : k4, p1, s1wyib, p4, ssk, k5, k2tog, k1
Row 14 : p6, inc 1, k4, p1, k5

Repeat rows 1 to 18 until desired length. Bind off.

I don’t have pictures now, but I’ll include some as soon as I get enough knit that it makes sense to take pictures….now I just hope that I have enough yarn to make 65 leaves to edge the blanket.
